This Scottish Golfer, circa 1870, said to be Young Tom Morris, four-time winner of the British Open at Preswick, likely sculpted by Francis Williamson, (English, 1833-1920).

The Golfer’s costume of gaiters, flat hat and belted, pocketed jacket suggests the period prior to the introduction of golf knickers.
