Meet Jon Foyt and Lois Foyt
Not only do the Foyts share a love of fine art, but they also write novels together. Their literary website http://www.loisjonfoyt.com presents another view of this eclectic partnership.

Both are graduates of Stanford University where Jon studied communications and geography before entering the Graduate school of  Business for his MBA degree, and where Lois returned in 1977 for her Bachelor of Arts degree.

Their career paths after Stanford include Jon’s active duty in Military Intelligence, electronics manufacturing, radio broadcasting, international banking, and real estate brokerage; and Lois’ in real estate development where she headed Real Estate Arts, Inc. in Palo Alto, California.

Later the couple relocated to Athens, Georgia, where Jon was accepted into the Historic Preservation master’s degree program at the University of Georgia, which, after completing the courses, inspired them to live and work in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where they hosted literary salons, sponsored book and film festivals, presented papers, gave readings and lectures, together with art buying sojourns to France; Italy; Switzerland; Greece; Ireland; the UK; Spain; Portugal; Hungary; Germany; and in the US to Upstate New York; Manhattan; the Coast of Maine; the French Quarter; La Jolla; Santa Monica; Santa Barbara; San Francisco; and Pass Christian, Mississippi.

They now make their home in California’s wine country of Sonoma Valley. Its close proximity to San Francisco and its international art market allows them to have immediate notice of present and future trends in the values of 19th century Asian and European bronze sculptures. They are also available to consult with and advise collectors on authenticity, acquisition and insuring bronze sculptures of art.
