A well-defined figure, “Dutch Boy,” has a three-tiered base formed as part of the bust, and labeled and pictured in “Bronzes: Sculptors and Founders, 1800-1930,” Book One, Page 132, Image number 574, compiled by Harold Berman, Published by Abage Publishing, Chicago.

    “Heavy copper electro-plating over unglazed porcelain and an acid patina make ‘Dutch Boy’ difficult to distinguish from solid bronze,” according to the above reference. The condition is excellent with precise detailing. 6 ¾” wide by 8” high.

    Our Dutch Boy sculpture appears as a prop in the formal dining room scene in the movie, Gosford Park, directed by Robert Altman and starring Helen Mirren.
